MSc Degree in Petroleum Engineering
1.* PgD, BSc/BEng First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) or its equivalent in Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or related engineering and physical science degrees from a recognised University.
2.* All other applicants who do not satisfy (i) above but have degrees in engineering and physical sciences may be eligible for admission after careful verification of certificate(s), transcripts and relevant documents.
3.* International applicants with proficiency in English language who satisfy the requirements of (i) above are eligible for admission after careful verification of certificate(s), transcripts and relevant documents.
MPhil Degree in Petroleum Engineering
1.* A PgD, BSc/BEng First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) or its equivalent in Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or related engineering and physical science degrees from a recognised University.

All applicants for MSc and MPhil who do not have Petroleum or Natural Gas Engineering background will, upon admission, be required to take and pass Introduction to Petroleum Engineering module as a prerequisite for the main Petroleum Engineering modules.
Applicants with Physical Sciences will take Introduction to Engineering Mechanics in addition to Introduction to Petroleum Engineering
A prospective applicant may participate in these modules within two (2) years prior to applying for the programme in Petroleum Engineering. The results will be credited to him/her upon admission. However, the student is expected to meet the minimum number of years for graduation.
